SHOP!

With increased interest in prints of my work over the last little while I've decided to open a shop on my website. A selection of prints, both limited edition high quality giclees and smaller open edition digital prints are available. I've also included the first of several t-shirt designs as well as signed copies of my book, Born In Concrete: The EK Series.

The shop is currently open to the US and Canada, but international shipping options will be added soon.

For those interested in non-signed copies of my book, please order through Amazon (the cheapest and quickest way), or order directly from Design Studio Press.

As for the Industria Mechanika resin model kits based on my work, please visit the Industria Mechanika Shop for availability and ordering.

EK SERIES ARTBOOK - JAPANESE VERSION

The Japanese language edition of my book, Born In Concrete: The EK Series, has been published by Born Digital Inc. in conjunction with Design Studio Press.

The content of this edition is the same as the original English language version that was published by Design Studio Press back at the end of 2013, but the book has been reformatted down to a new size of 9"x 10.5" (as opposed to the 11"x 13"of the original), bound with a soft cover, and fully translated into Japanese. While the images maybe don't have the same impact at this new smaller size, the book looks great, with the Japanese text giving the book an exotic feel and the coated paper stock (both inside and on the cover) giving the images a softer more satin finish. It even has that little title/price card folded into the book like all Japanese books seem to have. So cool!

I'm a big fan of Japanese art books (mainly animation production books), and it was great to see my book interpreted in this fashion. The book is available from Born Digital here, of Amazon.jp here.

And speaking of the original version of the book, due to it being featured (along with my Dystopic model kit) on the online show "Tested", it has spent the last 5 days as the #1 top seller on Amazon in the digital art category. Thanks to those that picked up a copy of the book….it is much appreciated!

Thanks to Scott Robertson and Tinti Dey at Design Studio Press and Born Digital Inc.

EK SERIES ARTBOOK RELEASED

My first art book, Born In Concrete: The EK Series was released today. Published by Design Studio Press, this hardcover book is 96 pages and features all the materials created for the Entartete Kunst series, including some new work created specifically for this collection.

I recently received my advance copies and I was very pleased with the quality of the final product. Nice paper stock with great colour and contrast on the images and nice details like book end pages, and head/tail strips, etc.

Amazon is still offering it at killer deal, so if you are interested in picking one up, now is the time to do it. Now that it is officially released it should also be showing up art/design book stores for those that still like buying their books the old fashion way.

Thanks to everyone that already purchased pre-order copies and big thanks to Scott Robertson and Tinti Dey at Design Studio Press for making it happen!

EK SERIES ARTBOOK

I'm happy to announce the publication of my first art book, Born In Concrete: The EK Series. This hardcover book collects all the work from my first personal project Entartete Kunst (EK). All the pieces that make up the series are featured, along with write-ups and detail images. The design materials for the Endeavor Snowboards and the Industria Mechanika collaborations are included, as well as images from several exhibitions that have featured work from the series. The book also contains a process section that outlines the creation of one of the pieces from start to finish, and to cap it off, the book also contains a bunch of EK material that hasn't seen the light of day.

The book will be released on November 12th, 2013 and is being published by Design Studio Press. Based out of California, Design Studio Press is a publisher that focuses on releasing art and educational books by designers in the entertainment industry. They have an amazing catalogue featuring books by incredible artists including Syd Mead, Sparth, Stephan Martinere and Scott Robertson just to name a few. Their site, the their books, are definitely worth checking out.

Born In Concrete: The EK Series is already available for pre-order at Amazon (for a killer deal at 30% off), and at various other online distributors (Book Depository, Waterstones, Booktopia, etc.) and will be available on, or after, November 12th, 2013 at most reasonably cool book/art/comic stores near you.

Big thanks to Scott, Tinti and Ceci at Design Studio Press for making this book happen and for shepherding me through the process!
